The thing that went well when using illustrator to do my logo was the effects that I used on my design such as the 3D effect. Also the variety of colours that I used on my design which was all suitable for my design. I have also changed the colour of the outline and the main part of the design so it is two toned, this makes the design stand out and it would captivate the customers attention.
I have also added gradients to my design. For one of it I have done a white to black gradient and for another one I have done a sunset effect gradient.
Even Better If
I could improve my design by adding patterns to the design so my design so it would look less plain and it would stand out to the customers. Also if I had more time then I would add my name next to the design that I drew so the customers would know that this is the logo that I did. I would also add different effects to the design so they all look different instead of having them all look the same.
The first thing that I did was draw out the design for my logo, then I took a picture of my design. After I had taken a picture of my design I opened it on illustrator and used the cutting tool on illustrator to cut out the outline of my logo that I drew. After I had finish cutting out my design I then added colour to my design, I had also added effects such as 3D to my design and gradient going from white to black. I had also done another one using the same design but I did a sunset gradient which went from yellow to orange. For all of it I had decided to add outlines to it but I changed the colour of the outline so the design was two toned.
What Went Well
The thing that went well with this design was the combination of colours that i had decided to use which all somehow go together. I also thought that the uses of shapes and patterns makes the whole design stand out and it makes the design look less plain and boring. It would catch the customers attention.
Even Better If
This design would've been better if I had decided to test out different effects on it like I did for the first design, this would let me see if any of the effects went well with the design and also if it helped to make the design stand out even more. I would also add my name on the design so customers would know that I had design this logo which would show my creativity.
What Went Well
For this design I thought that having just black and white made it look really professional. I also liked the simplicity of the design as I thought that having a bold design can be too much to look at. This design also shows more meaning and would be much more suitable for a business card. I also liked the mirror effect that I did on the design instead of having just my name, it is more creative.
Even Better If
It would've been better if I tested out different effects on the design to see if any of the effects went well with my design. I would also have them all equally the same length because it looks really messy when its not the same length but I had difficulties doing it.
